Majority of the streets have no facilities for disabled persons. A few road stretches have ramps for wheelchairs but not enough quality for good service. Almost all road stretches in the residential area have no pedestrian facility. On the old part of the city, such as the Osmeña Avenue and Colon St.,an arcade is present giving pedestrians enough space for walking and shelter from outpour of rain. The first two stretches of the public transport terminal area have low rating on the ‘security from crime’ because of the absence of any nearby security detachment and proximity to informal settlers. It’s sidewalks are narrow compared to other stretches of Bacalso Avenue. The sidewalks infront Cebu Normal University, San Carlos University and Abellana National High School have enough width and space for easy flow of pedestrians. These sidewalk stretches have the best among all the road stretches surveyed in the four areas considered.
